KROMAN STEEL New Strip Mill Project

The plant KROMAN Çelik A.Ş. which is located in Gebze, İzmit has a capacity of rolling 800.000 tons of reinforcing steel bars per year. PROKON has completed the design and engineering services of the plant in the disciplines of steel construction, reinforced concrete, architectural, and grounding. The first line was completed in 2004 and the second in 2007.

Some of the structures in the plant are as follows;

·         Main Steel Building and reinforced concrete foundations  120m x 550m x 30m

·         Foundations of Reheating Furnace

·         All the equipment foundations of the Rolling mill

·         Scale Pit

·         Water facilities

·         3 Electrical Buildings

·         Administrative Buildings

·         Various Steel Construction structures

1750 A0 drawings were produced within the scope of engineering Services. The plant is in operation since 2006.
