AFŞİN ELBİSTAN B Thermal Power Plant Belt Distribution Center Project

Within the scope of the project Prokon provided design and multi discipline (electrical, mechanical, structural steel) engineering services for the following structures;

·         Infrastructure works including open and close canals to drain the rain water

·         The water extinguishing system, 200 m3 capacity – water tanks and pump stations

·         Conveyor lines designed for high capacities. The conveyor in D section is operating as quick as  5,5 m per second and carries 9500 tons per hour.

·         The moving head of the conveyor line carrying capacity is 180 tons.

·         In proportion to the capacity of the conveyor, power consumption is also high.

·         In section E,each conveyor having the band wide 1800 m, are operating with 4 600kW motors.

·         Conveyor foundations designed to carry 100 tons horizontal tensile load.

·         Each conveyor line has its own trafo unit and electrical room

·         Porters cranes has been used during installation.
